Being Smart

Well, it's been all go at home today again! Mum spent WAY too much time at her desk (again!!) but we did have a visitor! A man in an orange coat who had his head in one of our kitchen cupboards for an awfully long time this morning. I came downstairs to check him out. Weird. Mum said it was something to do with having a new water meter installed. A 'smart meter'. Hmm. Smart for us or smart for Thames Water? And if it's so smart, why oh why can't it be tiny enough (or move it outside) so that it doesn't take up half of the space in a cupboard?? Mum says it's just one of those things. Accept and move on.

In the afternoon it was really sunny and Mum and I took a break from all that desk work and had a bit of sunbathing in the garden. The sun on our faces felt really really good! We are eking out the summer as long as we can.

I met a new friend in the park this evening! This is Stanley. He was very nice and his mum had wild pink shoes. And was that a treat in her pocket?

I saw the suitcase and the uniform come out today. Grrrr. I know what that means for tomorrow!
