Searching

We spent a fascinating morning with the Warwickshire Search and Rescue team . A volunteer service involving searching for and rescuing lost, missing, vulnerable possibly suicidal people . They have skills in first aid, navigation, and rescue dog handling, and also a kayaking team who can search along riversides and under low hanging trees etc
They were carrying out an exercise to search for a missing boy.
It was a training day but also a publicity generating session ultimately to raise funds for their equipment etc.
They wanted photographers along to obtain pictures for their website. There was a professional who specialises in this type of event and a drone operator, but LooseCanon's photography club was asked if anyone could attend also, just to get as many photos as possible .
This is Belle a mere twenty weeks old, she is being trained as an air trail dog i.e. a sniffer dog. Belle was so sweet, curious intelligent and lively. She should be a great member of the team.
