DIY #5

Hooray wallpaper!  It was an early start at Mary's bungalow this morning as I wanted to get the final coat on the bedroom walls so it would be ready for Jane wallpapering.  What a difference a bit of colour and pretty paper makes! The room looks bright and airy and clean and fresh, hugely different to a week ago when we despaired we would ever reach this point.  It couldn't have been done without the daily help of David and Jane, and Bill who has dropped in too.

Tony has finally finished the prep of the hallway which has been a horrible job and needed major scraping and sanding and filling and washing.  This afternoon he and Jane were able to paint the woodwork which has already made it look better.

Meanwhile I was locked in the bathroom painting around all the fiddly bits at the back of the sink and toilet!

Tomorrow we have a day off as it is the CompassSport Cup so it will also be an opportunity to catch up with a few jobs before we are back on Monday.
