Tankersley Wood

We had a day off from DIY today as it was the CompassSport Cup and our club Airienteers had reached the final.  The day dawned miserable and grey and wet and it was dark and mizzly beneath the canopy of Tankersley Wood, so difficult to see for us steamed up specs wearers, even with my super specs!

Tankersley is rife with tracks and pits and so you have to focus hard all the way to stay on line.  I made one small error so was pleased with my run overall, just not terribly fast.  The good news is that my run counted for the final points tally for our club, as did Tony's so a worthwhile outing.  The bad news is that our club finished in sixth place, but hey the sun came out and, as Tony was on the jury, we got to hang out with folks who we hadn't seen in a while before heading home.

Tomorrow it's back to DIY!
