The Lady Boy and a Sticky Bottie Puddin'
Slight pet pattern seems to be emerging following 'no nuts' Ben of yesterday: Spent a very nice evening and supper catching up with friends Alison and Justin, who we just hadn't seen for ages. No excuse really, but sometimes when people are just up the road (Altrincham) things sometimes drift on without you realising.
Alison is an old work friend who has a long-held passion for pet rabbits, goldfish and cats. Here then is a combo mosaic of (from top to bottom) Babes her one-eyed cat and Silver her plump gummy rabbit:
Babes is the rescue cat Alison has had now for 10 years or so, but is actually aged 17. Named Babes for the first 6 years Alison had 'her' until a first visit to the Vet revealed that 'she' was in fact a nutless neutered 'he'. Babes leads a very happy pampered life now, despite his over active thyroid, high blood pressure, deafness and loss of sight and pigmentation to one eye. Add to this a resulting gender dismorphia, which includes a currently blocked nipple gland that needs 'milking' daily to ease the swelling. (all true it seems).
Tubby bunny Silver has always been a 'she', and is a rescue centre rabbit now aged 1.5 years. Unfortunately though due to a dental defect that made her look like a tusked Walrus, the Vet had to remove both her front teeth, and not just clip them either. Alison went on to explain her current 'sticky bottom' syndrome, but that was enough for me, and I ended it right there.
