Lake Bled, Slovenia

We visited here in February with our friends when we went skiing. However we could hardly see anything as there was a complete 'white out', so we had always planned to come back this summer on our way to Croatia. We left Nuremberg very early this morning and stopped in Austria for breakfast - I did the drive through Austria which was absolutely stunning so we are looking forward to returning for a few days on the way back. We reached Lake Bled at lunchtime where we stopped for one hour to eat some sandwiches. It is a beautiful setting with the mountains and it felt good to stretch our legs with a walk near the lake.

From here it was on to our main holiday destination - Croatia for the real holiday fun to begin!
