Another 'Broken' Artwork

I didn't sleep too well ............... paranoid about the damned mosquito in the room (any more bites and I would look like a bit of nut brittle) and having to get up at 3.15am to get to the airport.

Trying to follow Italian road signs can be a bit of a nightmare at the best of times.
Doing it in the middle of the night with little to no streetlights is a total nightmare.
We ended up coming at the airport from a totally different and unexpected direction .... but we made it, and on time.
It was good to find an Italian asking us directions to the car rental return place though - so it wasn't just us  --- and by that point we were able to!!

When we walking into the entrance we were struck by the weirdness of things...... people with their dogs roaming about, crowds of people peering through the windows just watching the security checks and the fact that everybody seemed to use the first cafe they could see (right inside the door) which caused a real bottleneck.
Mind you, they maybe knew that the airport lied about there being cafes, bars and shops once you got through security.

I would love to know what the fascination is with the modern art marble sculptures with the fractures in them - there were two of them outside the palace as well.

After yesterdays close call with the lorry we thought that was the dangerous bit over and done with ..... but over the English Channel we passed another plane going the other way and there way no way that there was the required separation distances (3 miles laterally / 1000 feet vertically) ..... more like 2000 feet horizontally and 500 feet vertically.
Somebody is out to get us!
