Times Of My Life

My grandson had 2 of his best buddies staying over this weekend, so the little sister came to stay with Granny and Pops, so that she would not feel left out.

Daddy dropped her off on Friday morning, and then we took a trip to the vet to hand in a sample as requested.  Rocky the dog is still unwell, a week and a half after originally falling sick.  After this task we came home for a bit and then picked up my mum - Great Granny - and headed off to a GP appointment with her, before doing a bit of shopping.

Ida and I had a lovely day on Saturday too, when we shopped for new slippers before picking up her wee friend Sophie, who she met at my wedding.  When Sophie went home we watched Strictly, and then headed to bed for stories.

Today we just hung out together, played at Hairdressers, and watched CBeebies, before I took her home for tea.

I always miss the kids when they have been here, but this weekend my main focus has been the dog.  I just feel there is more to this illness this time; can't help thinking of the last dog, who had to be put down due to kidney failure.  Rocky has not eaten properly for days, has lost weight, and is sleeping a huge amount.  He is only 8, so this is not down to great old age.  Because he won't eat, I cannot always get his meds into him, so obviously not a good situation.

Supposed to be going to Poland with my friend Kate, for our 60th birthday celebration next week. Don't know how I can go if Rockster is still not well.
