Autumnal amblings
Late to bed, late to rise.......;-)
As we had a free day we decided to go for a long walk along the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
I was hopi g for lots of glorious autumn colour and blue skies........what we got was slightly different, flat grey sky and a lot more green than expected!!
Once we had parked up, it was up onto the towpath, past bridges 6, 5, 4, 3, 2b and right up to Horrocks Flash before we turned around and headed back. After three hours we had done 16,500 steps just short of 6.5 miles, not a bad start to the week ;-) I have to admit our legs were feeling it a little by the time we got back to the car.
I took lots of shots but because of the light not much to get excited about. This picture with the leaves floating on the unmoving water is the best in terms of autumnal colour!
Hub has just washed the car after lunch, whilst I faffed indoors. Just spoken to youngest, sounds of though he will be getting the help needed in place before he starts his new job, and his new employer was very understanding and positive, so that's a weight of his mind, and ours ;-)
It's only 5.30 and it's already quite dark today, really not looking forward to going backwards at the weekend, if you get my drift :-(
