On golden pond

A good nights sleep for both of us.......woke up to a lovely sunny morning. We decided to have our dippy eggs and some wonderful brown toast, courtesy of a new seeded loaf we discovered in Lidl yesterday, absolutely delicious, before we went out for our walk.

Firstly we walked down into town, picked up the papers, then called in Reds for a cappuccino, which went down very nicely.

Afterwards we walked up to the town green, then through the church yard........I was on the look out for some good autumnal colours, but we still have quite a long of green around yet:-/

Before heading back home, we detoured around our little lake and this is where I found my blip for today...... you could be forgiven for thinking Lake District, Yorkshire Dales ...... even Switzerland, or some other such beautiful place.shhh, it's a secret, this was taken in the middle of a fairly large housing estate ;-)

I finished off the pea soup this afternoon and have taken some steaks out of the freezer for dinner......maybe sweet potatoe wedges, with stir fried sugar snaps, tender stem brocilli and asparagus with oven roasted tomatoes :-)

We are watching football, hubs team currently holding Man City.......my teams turn later! we might both be happy bunnies, but then again, we could be miserable, we shall see ;-)
