Today's the day ............................ to turn colour

This is the view today looking northwards from Kendal towards the fells around Kentmere and Long Sleddale.  The leaves are just beginning to turn  - but so far it has all been quite discrete and not the usual blaze of colour that we've come to expect.

Trouble is we've also come to expect the lovely mildish weather that we've been having recently with no frosts to speak of.  You probably need one to get the other .......................
