waterfall
Quite difficult taking photos today without getting raindrops on the lens. It's been a grey and wet day but we still went out and about.
We are staying in a self catering that is attached to a B&B and they can provide breakfast for those staying here so this morning, seeing as there was no one in the B&B , we popped round and had breakfast in the house.
We then went for a drive down to IsleOrnsay to have a look in the gallery. The exhibition was by Julia Christie who creates landscapes, Skyscapes and detailed illustrations. I bought a card called ' Entomologist' I loved the detail of all the insects and the mans face.http://www.juliachristie.co.uk/illustration-gallery.html#prettyPhoto[pp_gal]/38/
We drove through Camuscross, a tiny township right next to the Sound of Sleat, flocks of field fares flew from the Rowan trees as past, I do nt think the berries will last long !
We had lunch, chicken curry with rice and chips for me, at the Ardvasar Hotel. It's a former coaching Inn over 800 years old making it one of the oldest Inns on Skye. It was pensioner Thursday and was packed. The owner knew everyone by name and was very friendly in a nice way :)
One of the ladies had won the bonus ball that week, £10, another had brought in a lovely robin mug for the raffle and I watched one elderly gentleman get up and down every time one of the ladies approached his table.
We drove down the road to it's end through lovely countryside, past a sleeping pig, hens on the road, colourful trees and this pretty waterfall.
