The Enchanted Forest...
Backblip
Another day of knocking, banging, sawing, drilling.
I am pleased to report that so far, having a makeshift kitchen in the hall isn't proving too stressful. I may not be saying that in a week or so, but at the moment it's ok. Planning ahead and thinking about where to store things has paid off. I think I was dreading it so much that in my head I had worked it up into being more stressful and inconvenient than it actually is but so far so good. Alan thinks it's hilarious.
After lunch we had a visit from Gill, who was dropping off the Enchanted Forest tickets she'd bought for Alan's Christmas. She was meant to be going too but a family emergency put paid to that, which is a shame as Alan was looking forward to seeing her. She spent time with him this afternoon though so he was happy with that.
David went to collect Alan's pal Andrew and at 6pm, David, Alan, Andrew, Alan's support worker Ashleigh and Eleanor head off to Pitlochry. I was so pleased it was a still, dry evening. A perfect night to enjoy the wonderful spectacle of the Enchanted Forest
I was full of great plans for the evening and looking forward to having the house to myself. Sat down to choose some music to listen to and the next thing I knew, my mobile phone was ringing and it was Eleanor phoning to say they'd had a great time and were on their way back. I'd fallen asleep for three hours! Don't think I am quite over this cold bug.
They met Andrew's mum at Perth on the way home and were back just before 10pm, full of the joys and raving about how fantastic the evening had been.
