'guising

Lots of fun with little D 'guising with his pal. We headed out along the old railway line with our torches for a 'spooky' walk, collected another pal and then made our way round a few houses in the estate at the bottom of the hill telling jokes and collecting sweeties. He's come back with an impressive haul that he has to share with his brother, who had a cornet lesson so couldn't go himself. I'm glad we have to share the loot - that's a very big bucket of sweeties!

Love that it's still the tradition of 'guising in Scotland. None of the Americanism of trick or treat, just plan old dressing up in a disguise, telling jokes and collecting sweeties :-)
