Always shining in Edinburgh
My brother and his partner breezed into town on their way back south from Applecross. He never made it down to Kent in all that time but here we were treating ourselves to the prix fixe at The Honours. It's a fantastic deal although with the wine, difgestif and everything else it came to rather more than the £23 for three courses. But the food is really good - a cheese I'd never eaten before served in a shape like a chanterelle - Tete du Moines or something like that - the Monk's Head - a French Jura cheese. And good to catch up with G and build some bridges after recent rough seas.
