Fresh air

After a really productive morning, doing housework (boooooo) and a pile of admin stuff that I hadn't managed to touch at work (double boooo), the food shopping was delivered an hour early.  This meant that I was able to cook us a delicious vegetable (yes Mum, vegetables!) and noodle stir fry for lunch, whack a big piece of brisket in the slow cooker for tea and then we escaped to Dunham.

It was surprisingly busy for a chilly Autumn day, but not so busy that I felt any urge to grumble.  We only did a couple of miles walking before the call of the cream tea in the cafe was too much for us to resist.  That, and Corin had cold knees (which was strange as he was wearing trousers, not shorts, and I didn't make him crawl around on his hands and knees today!)

The brisket has been consumed by the two of us and two hungry teenagers.  The teenagers have since left - James is walking Heidi back home and watching fireworks on the way.
