Fechenheim on the river Main

There is something quintessentially German about this picture. The tram arriving (note very regular and on time!), people on bikes cycling along the river pathways and streets on a Friday evening, the warm temperature (28 deg), the lovely restaurant where you eat outdoors .....and of course the fine Rheinhessen wines (Dornfelder in this case) and lovely food .....and great company!

Off on the final return stage of our trip now - headed up North - towards Belgium and the North Sea.
