A small hut in Balquhidder

I had four days off so we decided to go away to the Highlands. Through Airbnb we found this cosy wooden hut in the middle of the hills in Balquhidder, in the Trossachs, near Loch Lomond. At our feet we had Loch Voil. There was another hut like ours nearby and, a few steps away, a working farm and a youth hostel. We were surrounded by sheep all the time.

Here we had just arrived, and Scott was on his way to check out the hut. The surroundings were beautiful. Unfortunately, as it gets dark so early now, it didn't take long for the darkness to draw in after we arrived. So we didn't do much apart from getting some wood from the farm to heat up the little stove inside the hut and have a cosy night in.

Seemed like the perfect holiday hideaway!
