Little Ditty

The first storm of the winter - Storm Angus  - arrived last night.  It rained a lot and the wind gusted away.  These words seemed rather appropriate.  They are in a little book my nan kept.  My grandad wrote her favourite poems in it.  Perhaps she asked him to write this in there after a similarly windy night!

A spot of food shopping this morning and then I put some of our wedding photographs into frames and on to the wall.  I finally got out for some fresh air mid afternoon and did a circular route which took me via the allotment. The red and black kale and purple sprouting broccolli seem to be doing well - despite being eaten by caterpillars earlier in the year. The parsnips look ready - although I didn't thin them so I might only have a few worth eating.  As usual a robin hopped down to see me whilst I was there.

I finally put up a bird feeder in the front garden today.  I get quite a lot of birds feeding on the Scot's pine cones which fall on my front garden so it will be interesting to see what I can attract to the nuts I have put out.
