Last items for the Christmas hampers

This is the best part of the hamper making excercise, choosing the wine. For the past three years we've been to a local vineyard to select the wine to put into the hamper. Of course, this means tasting them all before we buy. We had a go at the three whites shown here as well as a dessert wine before moving on to spiced cider and a cider matured in whisky barrels. In the end we bought the Ortega for the hampers and the Bacchus for us (along with a couple of bottles of local beer)

Another Christmas treat planned for tomorrow, weather permitting. It was not good today though, heavy rain showers pretty much all day except for a couple of hours in the afternoon when we were out walking.
