Another walk in the Orange

Spent the day with friends Dennis and Irene following a route from Broomhill Country Park at Sandgate near Folkestone. A 7.5-mile stroll that took us through a variety of landscapes both human and countryside. Some more walking through colourful beechwoods which I couldn't resist for today's blip.

We also went up on the North Downs for wider more expansive views then down onto the lowlands again where we passed by The Old Kent Cottage (extras) at Frogholt tucked away out of sight of the M20 and the Channel Tunnel Railway. This must be one of the oldest buildings in the country, an early 14th-century house which has been a listed building since 1952. Quite magnificent.

BroomhillCountry Park had a very nice and very reasonably priced cafe which we made full use of when we completed the walk. A good day.
