Across the flood plain

A cold and frosty morning (-5deg when I set off for work - took a while to de-ice the car...) at the start of another gloriously sunny, blue-sky day. A nice day for a walk but, alas, it was day in the office! Never mind, enjoyed walking round the business park at lunchtime. Took a photo of the building site opposite the office when I was out. Work there started in earnest today when a huge crane arrived, and a metal structure was erected amazingly quickly (see Extra).

Stopped near Doddington on the way back from work, for a quick shot or two across the Milfield flood plain. Still lots of water, though it's subsided a bit since Tuesday, and the roads are much better today, thank goodness.
