No, the 'Coats' is not a typo of Goats, it's a warm coat for a boy in Mongolia. The Chickens are for a girl and her family in India.
It's Christmas time and Dhylan and Lennon very willingly send these sort of gifts each year instead of having a gift from Marlane, they give the gifts through World Vision and Marlane pays for them. It's a big Win-Win all round and gives the boys a sense of satisfaction which is quite genuine. They feel good about helping someone and gives them a lesson for the future. She, Marlane, has been doing this for a number of years now and the boys get a card in acknowledgement of their gift.
