The frost has gone

and a warmer start to the day. The birds are active, their favourite seed is black sunflower, fat balls come close as do peanuts. The nyjer seed is not needed this week for some reason other than a hardy Dunnock attempting to access the tiny holes on the feeder. I watched one yesterday flit onto the branch beside the tube, onto the top and off again to the branch back to the top and hey presto it balanced on the tray. He did this several time but I have yet to see him find a seed, in extra.
