Arundel Castle

We had a very leisurely morning then wandered off to see Arundel Castle. Had we known it was so big and so interesting we would have set off earlier!
It was fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Its the second largest castle and still a family home. Beautiful! And the staff were all very helpful and knowledgable and enthusiastic to let you in on some in sites about the place if you asked and showed interest.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again some day!

Cathie and I decided we really needed an afternoon cream tea. They didn't appear to serve one….and we were trying to save money, so….we bought 1 large slice of quiche, 1 large scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea for two, and shared it. Mmmmmm! And it was just the right amount!  ;)
