Thunbergia erecta
An emergency blip, after a slow start to the day and more paper pushing. Still, at least the slow start involved reading the first section of the paper almost all the way through, and it has been a while since I've done that.
Getting a last-minute shot of these flowers just before dark finally prompted me to find out their name. I had no idea they were related to Thunbergia, but they're a great plant to have in the garden or in a pot, like ours. They grow easily - just stick a cutting in the ground - and nearly always have a few flowers, although they only last a day or so. Unfortunately, a vile little white pest is also fond of them and sucks the life out of them if they're not sprayed frequently. The non-toxic sprays aren't very effective, but I'll keep trying.
