Final day

I have made monthly visits to Dawyck Botanical Gardens.  Today was the last day of the season - they are closed during December and January - so this was my last opportunity for the November visit.  It was a grey day with a wind blowing so light was flat and things were moving.

I was one of only a few to walk round the garden.  The wildlife seem to have sensed the garden would soon be theirs again and there were plenty of pheasants in evidence.  The berries were the main photographic attraction.

It has been good to follow the progress of the garden over the year.  I'm getting to know the place and look forward to next year.  It will be all the better for its winter rest - maybe we can all learn from that.
