Everyday I Write The Book

Date night

Lovin' our Fridays.

Went to Guildford and had a couple of drinks in The Britannia which is a really friendly pub down by the river with an all year 'round garden. Good for a sneaky fag after a stressful week and a decent pint of Whitstable Pale Ale.

Then went to Thaikhun for a really nice veggie Thai meal. Yes it's fake but only in the sense that Las Iguanas is fake or anywhere else serving food from around the world come to that. As TSM said, Guildford ain't Bangkok. But the food was really decent, the staff lovely and the service quick. What more could you want?

Work was okay, full on meeting this morning, sitting at home writing minutes and doing emails this afternoon. It got a bit noisy mind. The electricity company have decided to turn our road into The Somme and have dug a huge trench down the middle, thrown mud everywhere, and there are a lot of burly men with foreign accents (you know, Sarf Lundun and stuff ... made me feel right at home). Some heavy lifting gear that made the house shake and the wine glasses rattle.

Anyway, survived another working week and had a good night out. Now for a nightcap and a decent night's sleep, we hope ...
