Spoilt for choice

Roubia is a feast of doors! While I was sorting out old paperwork the other day, I came across another book of walks, so since it was a lovely morning today, we went for a walk around Roubia, which is a village on the Canal du Midi. The walk didn't take in the canal but wandered through pine woods and vines above the village. 

First though, it took us on a roundabout route through the village, with plenty of photo opportunities. Fortunately, since the walk itself wasn't very picturesque. Highlights: an unusual pump handle (for freespiral), more pretty doors than you could shake a stick at, some creative re-use, and to finish a view of Le Tourmente on the canal.
