Hurrah for Fairtrade!

The Scottish Fairtrade Forum recently chose our wee village to receive a Fairtrade Community Award. Dunscore has been a Fairtrade village since 2009 and we are proud of the way that our community has embraced the concept. The school and preschool are particularly enthusiastic about Fairtrade, so we decided that the award should be officially presented during the Monday morning assembly at Dunscore school.

Here are the school's Fairtrade Group, the entire preschool population with their teachers, members of the Fairtrade Village Steering Group and Colin Mitchell, chair of the Community Council, all standing on the school steps in sub zero temperatures!
