Brian, the guerrilla gardener, walks Merlin for a neighbour.

A retired vet friend of mine says that his new dog is a "designer" dog.   "Its mother was a Cairn, and its father wisnae caring!"

I'm pretty sure there is no cairn terrier in Merlin's pedigree.   There is Irish Wolfhound, plus a fair sprinkling of other characters I suspect.

He doesn't look particularly benign here - but he is!
