Festive Traditions

Traditionally the Christmas tree by the entrance steps to the Royal Southampton Yacht Club provides a warming welcome to the Club for the festive season.
The highlight is a night of carols led by the Salvation Army band a few days before Christmas, and for those who stay on a carvery supper.
That’s if you have room for a full blown carvery after mince pies and mulled wine during the carols.
Anyway, it’s a sellout this year, and already the Club is posting “Fully Booked” notices on its weekly news bulletin and website.

The Club also puts on a Christmas Day lunch and a post-Christmas hot buffet lunch and walk through the New Forest to blow the cobwebs away a couple of days after Christmas Day . . . but similar ‘Fully Booked” notices are already in place for both.
