Festive Cheer

Another day, more Christmas decorations . . . and this time perhaps one of the most difficult to capture for a Blipfoto.
Purely for the reason that it is in the middle of a roundabout on a busy four-way  junction in the town centre at Totton.
The difficult part is that you need to photograph it from the pavement on any of those junction points, and then wait for a long enough gap in the traffic flow. Even then headlights from cars going into the roundabout can be a problem, and the additional illumination doing its best to fox the electronics of the camera.
One of the reasons I now use the camera on my iPhone for many shots like this. The camera is readily at hand and you can set it to take a burst of shots with one click of the shutter, and you can be virtually certain that at least one of those shots will be acceptable.

But back to the tree itself and the Christmas lights, both successfully achieving the aim of bringing some festive cheer. Even when it’s raining!
