Hand Painted

I was in the marketing world for over 20 years before coming to Mexico. In that time we went from Xacto knives and paste-ups to computer generated everything. Many times I felt more like a computer jockey than a designer or art director. I was heartened therefore to see this young man hand-painting a banner for an upcoming church event. Perfect letters, the kind I learned about in school but were never able to master, flowed from his brush onto what looked like a large sheet. Even though there are many computer sign shops here Mexico, it is good to know that old-fashioned craftsmanship still lives.
