Brightest and Best

We sang Brightest and Best today, one of my favourites.
A pink candle to be lit today to complete the four from each Sunday in Advent. Only the white one in the centre remains now and that will be lit at the Midnight service on Christmas Eve.

The church is looking very festive and you can just see the Advent wreath in front of the pulpit on the left of the chancel.
Second Carol service tonight at our sister church in Wilsden and then that's it till Christmas Eve.

I have just applied for my State Pension next March - whoop, whoop. Never thought the day would come. Something to look forward to in the New Year.
