Sunny Solihull

During the morning we walked down to the shops. The sun was shining, always a good thing only 1 day from midwinter, and we were glad to get so much daylight; 7,5 hours as against just over 4 hours in mid-Sweden.
HarlingDarling and P are leading the way here. We walked 8 km, and I half joked that at least 4 of those kilometres were inside various charity shops!
Later in the day we took our leave and drove around Birmingham to meet for a lovely dinner with amandoAlentejo and M, who we recently stayed with in Alentejo. As a bonus we also got to meet more of their family, some of whom also blip (See Mishkid's lovely picture of the event), and others who we have seen on the various blips!  It's interesting meeting people for the first time and yet already knowing a certain amount about them through Blip!
Once the evening was over we ventured out onto the dark motorways and drove up to Blackburn, where we will now be settled until after Christmas. That feels nice!
