Today's the day ........................ for an exhibition

Do you remember my sad tale of going specially to Edinburgh to see Fabritius' painting of The Goldfinch - only to find that it had been moved into a temporary position with no light to see it by?

Well - it was suggested that I should put in a complaint about it, and so I did just that.  It wasn't a very forceful complaint and, to be honest, I didn't expect that anything would come of it.  But I'm pleased to tell you that I was taken notice of and I was delighted to receive two complimentary tickets for the new exhibition of Joan Eardley paintings that started at the National Scottish Gallery of Modern Art 2 on December 3rd.

That's where we went today - to use our tickets and to see the exhibition.  And it's well worth a visit if you are in Edinburgh in the next few months .......................
