Checking the post

Today, we thought we'd make use of our National Trust membership Christmas present and visit a National Trust property close to where we live.  This was a great idea until we got in the car, read the guide book and found out the one we were heading to is closed for the winter.  Clearly, we need to improve our preparation for these visits.  Plan b was hastily thought through and we went to the library instead, via the posh toy-shop. 

The daily afternoon routine is to go and check the post - our post-box is on our gate, it's brilliant toddler entertainment, nothing exciting today aside from an alarm clock from Amazon, which now means no more gadgets in the bedroom to wake us (and then surf), just an old fashioned alarm clock.  Let's see how long the no-gadget rule lasts.
