Sunday alternative

Traditional Sunday roast is okay, but every so often I feel a change is in order. So today's alternative — a seafood linguine, courtesy of a Marks & Spencer ready meal.
Come to think of it, there are few weekends when we do actually have a roast.
I tend to like all the things that go with it — roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds and of course, vegetables. but the actual  roast itself I can usually do without.
Then we find we are usually eating  the left overs for at least two more days.
But not so this week. The linguine is finished — prawns, scallops, salmon all cooked perfectly, and all in little more than four minutes in the microwave.
I love my time in the kitchen and enjoy doing my best to emulate an enticing recipe I've seen somewhere. But just sometimes, there are other things I feel I could be doing on a Sunday.
Today was one of those occasions.
