Wanaka

There is a tree here in Wanaka in the lake which is rather like the tree in Buttermere in as much as it is photographed constantly - it is on everything and all the publicity material.  We had tried to photograph it last night when we arrived but it was difficult to get a shot without lots of others doing selfies.  So, we went out early this morning and managed to have it virtually to ourselves.

Spent much of today wandering around this lovely town and enjoying the scenery from the hotel balcony.  This afternoon we went to Rippon winery (see extras) which overlooks the lake and tried several of their wines.

Lovely day and I'd really like to come back here and spend longer.
