Severn Valley

Today was a day of doing little jobs which meant we were close enough to the Severn Valley Country Park to pay our first visit there.  Unfortunately the cafe was closed but we were able to have a walk down to the river and across to the Severn Valley Railway Station.  This area around Alveley was a coal mining area and you can see evidence of that in the colour of the ground.  This is the view across the river to the other bank.  We will go back again a little later in the year.
