We were over at Pilton Park for the West Pilton & Muirhouse Community Gala, or "something to do with the kids on a Sunday that doesn't involve driving into town". I'm pretty sure this event has nothing to do with the festival, which in a way makes a pleasant change of scenery.

This subject was doing a belly dance demonstration in somewhat surreal circumstances: namely a fenced-off part of the park itself in the grass. They seemed to have reserved the stage for the obligatory cheeky-DJ, which would have been the obvious choice. Fortunately it stayed dry, so nobody had to dance in their wellies.

Not the best portrait by any means, but I love her enthusiasm and hopefully that aspect shows through here.
