A magnificent bird

Two of these birds live in the city and this beautiful creature was surveying the surrounding area this afternoon.
We passed it after visiting the maritime museum and before we stopped at Fisherman's Wharf for fish and chips.

It was a leisurely stroll along the beach walkway to Granville Island where we shopped and ended up in the covered market-following the purchase of huge prawns and Maple syrup, we caught the water taxi back downtown.
