Camera: heal thyself
A favourite lightweight camera is my Canon G15, which I have used extensively when out walking. A few months ago it developed a problem - the lens didn't deploy properly when I switched on and some of the software features didn't work. It is covered by insurance so I could have got it fixed but couldn't be bothered with the necessary phone calls to contact centres, etc.
Yesterday, I decided I ought to do something about it so I charged the battery for the first time in months. This morning I switched the camera on and it seemed to be working fine. I went out with it this evening to experiment with the various settings and all seems fine. An extra shot is here - the Regal Moon pub.
And in the same 24 hours I saved £37 per month on our household insurance without having to contact Moneysupermarket et al. So, maybe the omens are good for Coventry City at Northampton tomorrow...
