Snow,sun and fun

We definitely made the right decision as today was wonderful. A super sunny day with blue skies from start to finish and even better we found snow.
We left home early and went in search of the Sled dog Rally/ It was soo beautiful we had to stop for a walk at Loch Morlich. It was really icy and the ducks were skating on the loch, Snow was melting and dropping from the trees. We tried to park in the viewer carpark but it was packed. A campervan had trouble getting out of the carpark and kept skidding. Luckily with abit of help it got out.
We decided to go up to the Cairngorm Mountain carpark . The views were great. So we took the Funicular Railway up to the top where we had soup and hot chocolate :) There were a few people skiing and walking and we could see hare footprints in the snow.
On the way back we found a spot next to the Rally track and watched a few teams go by. It was funny as the 'drivers' were shouting at the dogs trying to make them go faster, they were happy to go at there own speed !
We went to Loch Garten and had a fantastic time feeding the birds that came down and took peanuts from our hands. A lovely walk among the Scots Pine and wonderful sunset views over  Loch Garten.

Home and we've just watched Swallows an Amazons another great film :)
