Llandeilo

Today's the day .......................... to rise above

We woke up to thick fog this morning - a real pea-souper which made the view from our hotel window almost non-existent.

We were staying near Llandeilo, in the area where Will grew up.  He said that there was often a mist in the valley of the River Tywi which they looked down upon from the farm.  They were high enough up the hill to be in the sunshine above.  That was something I wanted to see for myself - so off we went.

And it was quite magical up there above the mist.  It was frosty underfoot but the sky was blue and the sun was shining.  As an added benefit, the view in the other direction was just as lovely - towards the Brecon Beacons and the distinctive shape of Bannau Sir Gaer  on the skyline.

And our only companions were the red kites flying overhead - and the occasional buzzard ......................
