Priddy Pools

We took a lunchtime walk around Stockhill Forest on the Mendips, another of our regular haunts.

Priddy Pools are situated on the other side of the road to the forest. The pools were originally wash pools used in the lead mining industry, dating back to Roman times in the area, which I think was responsible for the undulating landscape surrounding the pools.

We stopped in Wells on the way back for savoury scones and coffee, then back home for the second half of the rugby and the Man Utd on TV and cooking a roast dinner.

A very pleasant lazy Sunday.
