Lazy Sunday morning

A chilly but fun walk along the river with our cameras and we found this chap with his friends (in the extras) taking it easy. 

Some of the birches we walked past had sprouted some impressive ears. They looked as though they ought to be delicious but I'm no fungus expert and as my mother had had an acquaintance who'd had an unpleasant and, unfortunately, abruptly terminal experience eating the wrong sort these ones remained unforaged.
