Everyday I Write The Book

Comrade II

The hat returns.

Today was all house stuff until we went out for coffee at about 3.30. Top Gun very sweetly surprised TSM with the Bridget Jones trilogy on blu-ray, having heard her talking about it that morning. We sat in the Santa Fe, that well known Woking Wild West cafe. It's 'cos we're a frontier town of course. Lots of hard drinking, mean and moody fighting types around here. Top Gun tried on my hat - I think he makes quite a good Lenin. I think I might see if I can get a few more people to pose with it this week. Colleagues beware ... you could be Comrade III or IV or V ...

Otherwise it was all DIY this morning - filling holes, fitting cat flaps, painting shelves. Settling down now to watch the end of a rather strange but very enjoyable French animated film called April and the Extraordinary World. I like it. It has a talking cat in it. And intelligent Lizards. And two Eiffel Towers in a parallel universe of Paris in the 1930s.

Probably best if you just watch it ...

Postscript: Have now just finished watching The Theory of Everything with the amazing Eddie Redmayne and (again) the lovely Felicity Jones. Well worth watching, just to realise that at the end of the day what matters and what we have to work at is love and reconciliation. The black holes will take care of themselves...
