London
It's my birthday weekend and Mr J has come up trumps with a day in London. We checked into our hotel at about midday and headed straight to the tube and in to the city centre.
First stop was The Shard. I haven't been to London since it's been built and by golly it's a big' un! We went up to the cocktail lounge on the 52nd floor. Even on a rainy/snowy day the view was quite fantastic. We saw all the famous landmarks whilst surrounded in the luxury of the bar. The staff were fantastic and very knowledgable. The cocktails were works of art and looked way to pretty drink. After a couple each we were happily tipsy and made our way to Covent Garden.
We watched some street theatre and soaked up the hustle and bustle atmosphere before walking up to Trafalgar Square. We had a reservation for 5pm at the Asia de Cuba restaurant. The food was out of this world. Like nothing I had ever tasted before. A fusion of the two cuisines is literally like nothing else. We had shrimp churros, lobster, black cod and yucca fries.
We then had to hot foot it back to Wembley to see Jack Whitehall. We didn't have the best seats as Jack was like a tiny dot on stage but the show was great and I haven't laughed so much in ages!
Once back at the hotel I was completely done in and fell fast asleep by 11pm!
